About EditorialArt

EditorialArt is the studio practice of a Tel Aviv-based painter working in oil on linen — large-scale originals, released one at a time.
The Work
Each painting begins in silence and ends there too. Eroded figures emerge from heavily worked grounds, carrying the residue of memory and slow material time. Negative space is not absence — it is the painting's breath.
Influences include:
- Lucian Freud — the weight of flesh and presence
- Marlene Dumas — psychological rawness, image as confession
- The Düsseldorf School — deadpan distance, monumental scale
Studio Practice
The studio works slowly. A single painting may take a full month — sometimes longer. There are no prints, no editions, no reproductions. Every work offered here is an original, and when it sells, it is gone.
The Artist
Based in Tel Aviv, the painter works primarily in oil on linen with occasional mixed grounds. The practice sits at the intersection of the figurative and the eroded — forms that are recognisable but not resolved, familiar but not comfortable.
